Decoding Cancer Immunology

Hunting Hidden Tumors

Client: Nature

DESCRIPTION

The immune system is constantly searching for foreign invaders. But, some cancer cells can fly under the radar. Researchers are now using advanced sequencing techniques to understand the complex interactions between immune cells and cancer cells, with the ultimate goal of providing life-saving treatments.

Nucleus collaborated extensively with the Nature Genetics team to bring their vision for this animation to life. Motion graphics help simplify the concept of DNA sequencing. Similarly, a slot machine metaphor is used to explain the interactions between T-cell receptors, neoantigens, and MHCs.
