Innate Lymphoid Cells
DESCRIPTION
Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) play an important role in the fight against pathogens. In the gut mucosa, these cells reinforce the epithelial barrier and represent the first line of defense.
This animation explains four ways in which ILCs participate in various aspects of immunity. The Nature creative team worked with Nucleus to create a concept that would reinforce the message. The team decided to dedicate specific color palettes to each narrative, which are pieced together in the final scene.
